Many thanks to current FADA PhD research student Jonathan Allen for providing the below montage. On the left is the Foundation studios from Jonathan’s time on the course, in academic year 1984-5. On the right we can see the exterior of the building as it is now – nos. 1-2 Portland Road, just across the Hogsmill from Knights Park, are now used as the premises for Kingston University’s nursery and creche facilities…teaching foundations of a very different sort!
