This photograph dates from the opening of Knights Park in 1939. The building was completed in the summer, and although the outbreak of World War Two complicated the opening of the building, students were fully in residence by January 1940. It remains the home of the art school, and this original art deco block with its central quadrangle is still a crucial part of the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture at Kingston University.
