Rose Theatre display until 14/11/14
The 140th anniversary of the Art School in Kingston in 2014/15 is an historic moment to collaborate with museum and community partners and local residents to discover, celebrate and embed this significant heritage within the borough.
As a taster for the exhibitions and events forthcoming in February 2015, we have mounted a display at the Rose Theatre just in time for Graduation to commemorate some of the fantastic stories and people connected to the school.
Items in the display include a wartime porter’s hat worn by caretakers onsite in the 1940s, course leaflets showcasing life in the building during the 1970s, and artworks collected by Elsie Few to instruct art teachers at Gypsy Hill.
Visit the display at the Rose before November 14th 2014.
