This is one of four dioramas commissioned by Truman’s Brewery for The Bell in Middlesex Street. Karslake was an independent model maker who studied at Kingston School of Art in the 1950s whilst working for the London County Council. He went on to make detailed architectural models for industry, such as intricate oil rigs for the North Sea.
