Diss Town Study, 1964
The three photos above show students taking part in the Town Study of Diss from the summer of 1964. Town Studies were a major feature of Architecture training at Kingston, with a large group of students and staff descending on a town in order to survey its architecture and planning for a week-long stretch. As well as Architecture students, some Fine Art and 3D Design students would also often contribute to the studies. A planning report and, often, an exhibition would be held reflecting on the results.
